The Walt Disney Company has plans to acquire either more characters or more companies that have the ability to create new characters for their portfolio. No word yet on if Disney has their eye on any characters or companies in particular, but we’ll keep you posted when we find anything out.
In the meantime, do you have any suggestions?

Keith plays the character Captain Teague in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. Here’s what he revealed:
No one is more surprised by all of it than me. I never expected to work for the Disney organization for a while. I’m still shocked, but, hey, it’s all good fun.

Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Robert (Bob) Iger attended the Alzheimer’s Associations “A Night At Sardi’s” event on March 16, 2011. The event took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California and Robert was an honoree at the event.
Robert accepted the Abe Burrows Entertainment Award in his mother’s name, revealing the following about his mom:
Everything that I have, everything that I’ve ever done, I really owe to [my parents]. Everything that I will ever achieve I owe to them as well, because it started with their love and their support. It’s incredibly heartbreaking to see someone that you love so much fall prey to this disease and realize that you’re relatively powerless to stop it or to even slow it down.
A number of other stars were in attendance at the event, including Disney star Nick Jonas.
The Walt Disney Company has purchased the gaming engine startup company Rocket Pack. The company has made it possible to build games using javascript and CSS that run everywhere, without any necessary plugins or installation.
It is being reported that Disney paid between $10-$20 million for the acquisition. We’ll keep you posted on what Disney does with the company.
