“Sonny With A Chance” star Brandon Mychal Smith took to Twitter to let his fans know that the new season of “Sonny With A Chance,” which changed its name to “So Random” after Demi Lovato left the show, would premiere on June 5, 2011.

Tiffany Thornton from the Disney Channel Original Series “Sonny With A Chance” spoke with People Magazine about Demi Lovato, who recently announced she was leaving the hit TV series. Here’s what Tiffany had to say:
I’ll miss Demi. I’m really proud of her. It takes a lot of guts to admit that you aren’t perfect in front of the world.

Demi Lovato has announced that she is leaving the Disney Channel Original Series “Sonny With A Chance,” causing the show to undergo a name change since Demi starred as the lead character Sonny Munroe. The show will now be called “So Random” and will be more like a sketch comedy than an ongoing series.
Demi took to Twitter to comment on her departure from the Disney Channel in order to concentrate more closely on her music career with Hollywood Records (a label owned by Disney). Here’s what Demi Tweeted:

According to Disney Channel Original Series “Sonny With A Chance” star Brandon Mychal Smith, the show will be changing its name to “So Random” as of this season. This leads us to believe that Demi Lovato will not be returning to work on the series even though she is home and out of the treatment facility she spent a large number of weeks in for personal issues.
