Disney’s Friends For Change initiative got a bunch of popular Disney Stars to film the video below to promote awareness of the oil spill in the Gulf.
Disney has also donated $100,000 to support clean-up efforts.

Former Disney star Justin Timberlake appears in the movie “The Social Network” which is due out in theaters this October. You can see Justin in the new movie trailer for the film below, and you can also see current Disney star Brenda Song, who is best known for her role as London Tipton on the Disney Channel Original Series “The Suite Life On Deck.”

Trace Cyrus, the brother of Miley Cyrus, who was in a band called “Metro Station” that was popular for a bit (but eventually all the band members went their separate ways) has taken to Twitter to tell the world about the celebrities he has met and had a few choice words to say about Disney star Ashley Tisdale who is currently in Canada filming the Disney Channel original movie “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” that is going to be released in 2011.
I’ve met and know a bunch of celebrities. By far the worst person I’ve met in my life is Ashley Tisdale.
I’ve never had someone who doesn’t know me AT ALL make up so many rumors and bullsh** about me. You don’t even know me bit*h.
Interesting, we wonder where this is all coming from because Trace is dating “The Suite Life On Deck” star Brenda Song who worked with Ashley Tisdale on the Disney Channel show “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” but that is really the only connection we see. What do you think of what Trace had to say about Ashley?
When it comes to the shows viewers are watching more on the Disney Channel you would think that because you can find Hannah Montana merchandise on almost every street corner of the world that Hannah Montana played by Miley Cyrus would be the biggest show by far on the Disney Channel in terms of ratings, but since 2008 Hannah Montana has taken a back seat.
Brenda Song who plays London Tipton on the Disney Channel show “The Suite Life on Deck” has actually been the queen of the Disney Channel for the last two years, beating out Hannah Montana by almost three times as many viewers watching the show than those that watch Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana. Don’t get us wrong, Hannah Montana is a brand, and a brand that makes bucket loads of money a year for Disney that consumers buy into much more so than “The Suite Life on Deck,” as the central character of Hannah Montana is one person with a supporting cast that’s main focus is the central character.
As for “The Suite Life on Deck” it has a handful of central characters that play into the life of two brothers Zack and Cody played by Dylan and Cole Sprouse with the supporting cast all having their own stories going on while supporting the two brothers characters.
In the world outside of the Disney Channel we would have to say that Miley Cyrus surpasses Brenda Song in terms of exposure as Miley has had great success in music, movies and an extensive product line, which is something Brenda Song hasn’t been able to capitalize on yet.
With the Miley Cyrus’ departure from the Disney Channel after the final season of Hannah Montana airs starting in July 2010 we might start to see the light thrown in Brenda Song’s direction as there won’t be so much emphasis on Miley Cyrus anymore.

The paparazzi spotted Disney Star Brenda Song out and about after strolling around Beverly Hills, CA and we have to say we are loving the look. Brenda has been recently linked to dating Trace Cyrus the brother of Disney Star Miley Cyrus.
Brenda Song has also just been announced as the spokesperson for Disney Cruise Line Environmental Program which is a video titled “Behind the Waves” that greets guests as they board Disney ships. Read more about it here…

Disney actress Brenda Song from “The Suite Life On Deck” is the latest spokesperson for the Disney Cruise Line’s environmental program.
When guests board the Disney ships they will watch a video, titled “Behind the Waves,” hosted by Brenda, which will give an inside look at conservation programs on the ship and at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. It will also give guests tips on how to protect the environment while onboard the ship – including tips about recycling, saving energy conserving water and protecting wildlife.
Tom Wolber, Senior Vice President of Operations for Disney Cruise Line, said about the partnership with the Disney star:
We are excited to be able to share this inside look at some of the environmental programs we have in place on the ships and island. I hope that in learning about some of the efforts we’re supporting at sea, our guests will be inspired to look at actions they can take to conserve in their own lives.
