Tonight, July 30th, on the Disney Channel you can watch a new Pixar Cars Toon short called “Monster Truck Mater.” The short is directed by Pixar’s John Lasseter and Rob Gibbs and is set to air and 9:30pm ET.
Here is the official synopsis of the short:
“Mater is a professional wrestler who works his way up the ranks from amateur to World Champion Monster Truck Wrestler, wrestling all kinds of characters along the way. When faced with his biggest opponent yet, Mater tags in his ‘tag team partner,’ Frightening McMean.”

On September 7th from 7-7:50pm ET/PT, the Disney Channel will be airing a new “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” special titled “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally.” On the same day that the special airs on the channel, fans will also be able to purchase the DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
On August 31st the Disney Channel On Demand will be showing a full-length preview of the special – so be sure to tune in for that!
Here is a description of the special:
“In ‘Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally,’ Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, along with Clubhouse pals Toodles, Pete, Clarabelle Cow, and Chip and Dale embark on the first annual Clubhouse road rally. The friends selects their favorite mode of transportation, with Goofy getting the opportunity to ride in Professor Von Drake’s latest invention, the Clubhouse Rescue Truck. The race kicks into high gear, leading the gang on a journey through sandy desserts, snow-covered mountains and lush tropical jungles in search of clues. During the race, Toodles feels unappreciated when the Rescue Truck gets all the praise for helping out, and he sadly leaves the group just when he’s needed most. It is up to Mickey and pals to reunite the team and make it to the finish line.”
The special also features five new songs:

If you are a Verizon FiOS customer you get to watch Disney Channel’s new movie “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” on September 1st rather than September 3rd when it premieres on the Channel. FiOS users will be able to use the Video on Demand service to view the movie ahead of its debut date.
Verizon stores will also be hosting special events at their stores on July 24, 25, 31 and August 1.
John Wimsatt, senior vice president of marketing for Verizon, said about the partnership between Disney Channel and Verizon FiOS:

Tonight (July 25) at 8pm ET/PT a new half-hour episode of the Disney Channel Original Series “Hannah Montana” is set to air. The new episode is titled “California Screamin’.”
In the episode, Miley Cyrus’ character, Miley Stewart, is under the impression that she has made her father, played by Billy Ray Cyrus, sacrifice his personal life to help her with her career as Hannah Montana. Miley feels bad and decides to set her dad up on a blind date with her school nurse Lori.
While Billy and Lori get to know each other, Miley’s brother Jackson is worried about his first kiss with Siena.

In a recent interview with TV Guide, Joe Jonas talked about the possibility of there being a “Camp Rock 3″ movie, even though the upcoming second film is titled “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.” Joe says about the CR3 possibility:
Hey, let’s do it! [Camp Rock 2] has an ending where it can continue.
Would you like to see a “Camp Rock 3″ movie from Disney? Would you like to watch it on TV or in theaters?
Demi Lovato recently took over Radio Disney with RD host Ernie D. During the takeover, Demi talked about her song “Wouldn’t Change A Thing” from the Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” which is set to hit the channel on September 3rd.
Demi sings the song with her ex-boyfriend and co-star Joe Jonas.
It seems to us, after watching the interview, that Demi is still a bit upset about her recent breakup with the Jonas Brother – but be sure to watch for yourself and let us know what you think!
