Will Miley Cyrus Ditch Pop Music To Become A Country Singer?

January 26, 2012 |  by  |  Share

Miley Cyrus has had huge success in the music industry – from her Disney Channel “Hannah Montana” tracks to the albums she has released on her own. One thing that all of Miley’s music seems to have in common is an aspect of pop, but is pop something Miley will stick with?

Miley has made clear in the past that she is not a fan of her number one song, “Party In The USA.” In fact, she dislikes it a lot. Miley tends to like music that has more meaning, and she is an amazing country artist. So, does this mean that Miley’s next album will stray away from pop and be full-on country?

Miley just released a cover of Bob Dylan’s song “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go.” The song is as far from pop music as you can get, and Miley’s fans have not only embraced the song, but they have given Miley far more compliments than she normally gets on her tracks when they release. This makes us wonder if Miley realizes that her fans will follow her no matter which genre of music she creates. We think she is best at country music, and perhaps this will lead her to follow in her father Billy Ray Cyrus’ footsteps and release a country album.

What do you think? Will Miley’s next album be all country? Or, will it be pop like the rest of the CDs she’s released?
