On May 7, 2011 the world premiere of Walt Disney Pictures new movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” will take place at the Disneyland park in California. The movie will then arrive in theaters nationwide on May 20, 2011.
Tons of celebrities are expected to attend the premiere, including a number of stars from the “Pirates” franchise. The general public is also invited to attend, however tickets are $1,000 and 100% of the proceeds for the premiere go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. You can learn more at piratespremiere.com
The Chairman of the Walt Disney Studios, Rich Ross, said about the premiere:
The 3D World Premiere of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ at Disneyland Park is going to be our biggest and best yet. Disney has been a longtime supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and we’re thrilled to share such an extraordinary event with this important organization that gives so many kids a chance to embark on their own adventures.
And the Disneyland Resort President, George Kalogridis, added:
