“Mean Girls 2″ Movie Review

We tuned in for “Mean Girls 2” on ABC Family on January 23rd and while we definitely want to know what all of you thought of the movie, we want to share a bit about what we think!

First, we felt that showing the original “Mean Girls” movie before the new sequel movie was a great way to lure people in to watching the second one. The original “Mean Girls” had an outstanding cast and was unlike any movie that had come before it. There were memorable moments throughout the entire flick and it is for sure a must-see movie. That being said, watching that movie and then watching “Mean Girls 2″ was slightly a let down.

We expected the sequel movie to be similar, but have enough differences that you didn’t feel like you were watching the same movie. But, to be honest, “Mean Girls 2″ seemed like just a watered-down version of “Mean Girls,” with a cast that wasn’t as strong and moments that just weren’t that memorable.

We love all of the actresses that were in the movie, especially since almost all of them have worked with the Walt Disney Company at some point, but we had so much trouble with the roles they were trying to play. Jennifer Stone seemed far too awkward, while Meaghan Martin seemed like she couldn’t quite figure out the character she was playing the entire time. And Nicole Anderson just didn’t have a big enough role in the movie!
