The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco is celebrating its one year anniversary next month. Richard Benefield, the founding executive director of the museum, said about the anniversary:
It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since we opened our doors in the Presidio. Our efforts to present the life and achievements of Walt Disney in an interactive and imaginative way are ongoing and we’re pleased to see families, teens, and seniors all enjoying different elements of the Museum.
In honor of the one year anniversary, the museum will host a weekend of events from October 1-3, including:
– Live Music (Friday 2pm-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm)
- Half-priced museum admission tickets and cash bar (Saturday 6pm-9pm)
- Treasure Hunt Contest
- “Look Closer” gallery talks from museum staff
- “Best Of” Video showing the guest who appeared this past year
- Radio Disney Road Crew (Saturday 1pm-3pm)
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs movie (1pm and 4pm)
- Create your own moviola (Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm)
Let us know if you plan on attending the one year anniversary celebration!
