ABC Studios is working with Dreamworks TV to develop a television series called “The River” based on the movie “Paranormal Activity.” Steven Schneider and Jason Blum will serve as Executive Producers on the project along with screenwriter Michael R. Perry.
The series will show a recording from a video camera that captures inexplicable things that happen, but while the movie was based in a bedroom, the series will focus on people who went missing on the Amazon River and their friends who are looking for them.
Does this sound like a show you would watch?

It *sounds* like Cannibal Holocaust, which would be awesome. It *will probably end up* just a crappy Lost spin off
Absolutely not! Hate hate hate this crap! It’s too scary for our kids and the way ABC has been promoting it, airing previews while I’m watching TV with them is SO IRRESPONSIBLE. My 10 year old has nightmares from just being exposed to the previews! They never responded to my emails. COMPLETELY IRRESPOSIBLE programming. Also shocked to find out Steven Spielberg has some involvement in the show. Doesnt he have kids?
