The robotic dragon, modeled after Maleficent from Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty” has been removed from Disneyland’s Fantasmic show after it broke down on stage over the weekend.
Nothing has been released yet in terms of when the dragon will be put back in the show, however a spokesperson for the Disneyland Resort offered the following statement:
The dragon in Fantasmic experienced a technical issue last Saturday night [August 28]. We are working to fix the problem. At this time we are not able to determine when the dragon will reappear in the show, however, it will continue to run at it’s scheduled times.
Bummer! We hope the dragon is added back into the show soon!
