The Ruckus Wireless company has announced that ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” show is now using the Ruckus ZoneFlex Smart Wireless LAN system on its production sets around the nation.
The technology works differently than conventional Wi-Fi products, using a patented “smart antenna array technology to deliver longer range Wi-Fi connections that are continually ‘steered’ around obstacles and interference as they are experienced.”
The new technology helps the production crews and the design teams stay in contact with each other during filming. It also helps the on-site teams stay in contact with the corporate offices, through email, printing, online communication and more.
