Walt Disney Pictures’ new movie “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” cost $150 million to produce, but with it’s soft opening at the box office on Wednesday, July 14th, it is unclear if the movie will make back its production costs at the theater. On its opening day the film brought in $3.9 million, coming in second place with the movie “Despicable Me” bringing in $7.1 million that day.

It is expected that the numbers for the weekend will be higher – so we’ll keep you posted when those are released.

Did you go to the theater to see “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”? If so, what did you think?
