Did you know that yesterday, in 1967, the WEDWay PeopleMover opened at Disneyland. WED stands for Walter Elias Disney, the creator of the Disney brand – from movies to theme parks and more.

Now, forty-three years later, the WEDWay PeopleMover is called by park visitors “The People Mover” for short and “The Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover” at the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom theme park.

The People Mover is our favorite ride at the park, because whether its hot or rainy, it’s the perfect place to take a break from walking!
