Katy Perry cleared up the rumors that she called Miley Cyrus “The Next Britney Spears” by heading to her Twitter account and Tweeting:
Rumor control: I never said sh** bout my girl Miley. I love that h*. Mags should stop pitting girls against each other. We all can co-exist!
The rumors started after Katy met up with Miley backstage at the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards held in Toronto, Canada. One magazine ran a story saying that Katy turned to her friend and said she thought Miley was going down the path of former Disney star Britney Spears and that it wasn’t a good thing.
We’re glad Katy took the time to clear up the rumors – maybe now we can see a Katy/Miley duet in the future!
