The Walt Disney Company released the commercial above shortly after it was announced that Lee DeWyze was the most recent winner of American Idol. Two ads had been created, one for Lee and one for his competitor on the show, Crystal Bowersox.
When Lee found out he had won the singing competition he shouted “I’m going to Disney World!” and luckily Disney camera crews were there to catch the magical moment so it could quickly be added to the commercial.
Walt Disney World has an attraction called the American Idol Experience – so it’s no wonder they promote during the hit FOX show!
