At Disney’s Pixie Hollow website you can now create your own male fairy character named Slate. Rather than giving him the “fairy” description, the website says that he is a “Sparrow Man.” Slate joins a number of other Fairies from the Disney Tinker Bell franchise on the site.
One user wrote on the website about the new addition:
I think it is great for Pixie Hollow to add Sparrow Men. Now my grandson can fly a boy fairy instead of a girl. It will make him feel special.

He used to get really upset and think people would tease him about it, but now he is fine with the idea of pixie hollow!
